Academy Of Football

This course is aimed at helping develop:

• Football Skills
• Individual and Team Skills
• Coaching Skills
• Health & Nutrition Skills
• Problem Solving and Communication Skills

This is a brand new opportunity for the school. This course will run in conjunction with Fife College as a School College Partnership. Pupils will be given the opportunity to work with our PE staff and the college staff to develop their football skills through this academy by completing their level 4 qualification in S3 and level 5 qualification in S4. 

We are hoping through this course that we may be able to partner up with local football teams to allow the pupils to have the best experience that they can and help them to further develop their skills 

Criteria

We are looking for pupils who have a keen interest in football and have a good baseline of skill for football.

Ideally, but not necessary, pupils who already play for a team.

Pupils who have a good interest in sport that are willing to work hard to develop their skills.

Process for Application

As this is a School College Partnership, there will be limited spaces so we will require pupils to apply if they wish to do this course.

Pupils will be provided with a Microsoft Form application to complete.

The school and the college will look at applications and choose the best candidates for the course based on the information that they provide.

Progression

Through completing this course in S3/4, pupils will be given the opportunity to:

• Continue onto the School College Partnership courses for Senior school that are linked to sport.
• Leave school at the end of S4/S5/S6 to do a full time sports based college course.
