Study in S4, work towards National 5 or complete the National Progression Award in Dance.

- 100% pass rate (A to C) every year course has been taught.
Question Paper – 20% final grade
Section 1: Evaluation of own work/personal performance (10 marks).
Section 2: Knowledge and Understanding of a Chosen Dance Style (10 marks).
Section 3: Evaluation of Professional Choreography (10 marks).
Practical Activity – 45% final grade
Two sections: Choreography (35 marks) and Choreography Review (30 marks)
Create and present a dance for two people.
Select and research a theme to develop creative movement
The choreography review is a written response completed in class to review the choreography you have created and your skills as a choreographer
Performance– 35% final grade
The performance is a tutor-choreographed technical solo in one selected dance style lasting 1 minute 30 – 2minutes. Assessed on application of technique and performance skills by SQA examiner and teacher.
