The Course (description and levels)
- Learning is developed through practical experience.
- Course content will develop knowledge and understanding of – the textile industry, textile design, the fashion industry and manufacturing process.
- Covering Health and Safety and the Law in relation to the Textile industry.
- Progress onto further study or employment in the Fashion and Textile industry leading to career development could lead to working – Fashion Designer, Dressmaker, Tailor, Fabric maker, Textile manufacturing and science & Fashion photography to name a few.

Developing practical skills in design, product development, textile production and organisational skills.
Developing knowledge and understanding of upcycling or recycling of fabrics.
Assessment – National 5 leading may lead to Higher and advanced Higher Project/Design, mood board worth 70% - take responsibility for own learning.
Question paper 30% of the final grade.
