S5-6 Photography

Learner's plan, develop and produce imaginative photographs, and develop both technical and creative skills in using photographic media, techniques and processes.

There is a theory exam which is 23% of the learner's overall grade and the Photography folio is 77% overall grade. Both are assessed externally by the SQA. 

Pupils will have 6 periods of teaching per week for the whole year.

This course is offered to S5/6 Pupil who have attained a N5 English due to the volume of written work required for the course. 

Expectations will be that there is a lot of independent learning and completion of work out with class time, whether that be taking photographs or evaluating work produced or learning theory.
